Tom has put a link that is really easy to find on the slide show of the Wyoming PBS home page. Now that I've found and caught up on all your blogs, I'm feeling much more connected to what's going on in Cheyenne. Thanks for all the hard work.

Have you heard that a zebra mussel actually crossed the state line, imported on the hull of a boat trailered from Missouri (maybe Arkansas) to Flaming Gorge? It was only luck that allowed it to be detected before the boat went in the water. Two bills are to be considered by TRW at their meeting in Saratoga on Nov 6, http://legisweb.state.wy.us/InterimCommittee/2009/06agd1106.htm.

Maybe we should have a vote on whether Mormon marriages are valid. Or whether women can work outside the home. Or if people of different skin colors can hold hands at the movies. While we're at it, the visual arts are really getting on my nerves these days. And what's all this nonsense about fertility treatment?

Everyone has a beef about someone else's life. It might be best if we go soak our heads and mind our own d**n business.

It should be noted that William Jefferson Hardin of Cheyenne was actually Wyoming's first African-American lawmaker, albeit he served in territorial days. This fact takes nothing away from the accomplishments of "Liz" Byrd and her son, James Byrd, but I believe we should be accurate about our history. Here is a link providing more background on Mr. Hardin.

Isn't interesting that every time a Democrat proposes a tax cut to help the people of Wyoming, Republican Legislators kill it and then have to scramble to cover their actions. The sales tax on food suffered this fate and now property tax relief for senior citizens. The fact that the only thing growing faster then the Republican majority in the Legislature, is the size and cost of government in Wyoming, seems to be pretty clear evidence that the voters aren't really watching what goes on in Cheyenne.

GEoff-
You have done an outstanding job of keeping the people of Wyoming up to date on what was happening in Cheyenne. The Friday night videos were very educational but your comments on Capitol Report were fair, unbiased, educational and well done. JOB WELL DONE!! Thank you.

Unlike my fellow Louisianaian Dr. Collier I can not brag on any part of Wyoming politics because they don't have the people of Wyoming interest in mind but their own agendas. The politicians in but the House and Senate and within every state , county and city agency have their own idea's of what we the residents want and need , in other words they appointed themselves to be our concious and dictators to our needs.

The lottery should have been placed on a special ballot for the residents of Wyoming to vote for or against and then our state legislature should have inacted it. But again they decided for the majority of the citizens of Wyoming as a parent would do for his or her child. And why would proceeds go to Game and Fish when there are social issue programs that need help along schools , teachers and roads. A lottery should never fall into the control of a state commission but under an independent commission ran by represenatives of the vendors who wish to participate in the selling of said tickets.

All that the 62 percent of the citizens want by having a lottery is the chance to win what the politicians already have and take advantage of and that is dignity and monetary things of value which they will probably never achieve without a shot at a wind-fall as a lottery would provide. Especially those who are in the 65 percent of this state and nation that are living pay-check to pay-check and just above the poverty level.

Our goverment represenatives already have it made through their ranche's and lawyer practices ect..so they don't knbow what it's like to hope for a better future for themselves and their family. They would rather say the hell with the average citizen in favor of doing what they feel is best for the State of Wyoming and the state alone.
